New York, (ANTARA News) – An important painting of Pablo Picasso damaged after a woman who follow art lessons lost my balance, fell on the painting of “The Actor” and tore it up, according to a report of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
A very large canvas, with a length of 77.25 and 45.38 inches wide, torn vertically about six inches at the bottom right corner in the incident, as cited by AFP.

Museum, located at the east end of Central Park, New York, did not explain why the woman fell.
But the Met stating that the damage did not affect: an important part of the array “and it can be repaired in a few weeks ahead before the reconsideration of Picasso’s work which showcases 250 works of famous painters in the opening of the museum on April 27.
